Vocabulary Lessons for Everyone! (Volume 2)

Ever since the copious debacle, I have been looking up the definition of every word I use.  Every single one. So that first sentence took me an hour to write. I plan on having this post completed before 2012. Fun fact: phrenetic is an obsolete spelling of the word frenetic. Incidentally, I do know the definition of the word frenetic. Also the definition of incidentally. This questioning of my word-hoard (real thing!) is consuming and stressful.

For instance, I no longer remember what the heck this post was supposed to be about or why it involved the word frenetic.

So let's just talk about something else entirely. Grammar.

Immediately after typing that last sentence I was distracted by a task. After completing that task I forgot about this post and went off to read a new found blog. This particular blogger has a GIANT word-hoard. (why is my mind furiously zinging around tasteless jokes at the expense of that last sentence? Aack! Stop brain stop!!) Zinging might not be a word at all. Pause for a check.....

Whatevs. Ima use zinging. Do somethin'!

Where was I?

Oh yes, word-hoards. And Postulations from my simian posture. This blogger is vocab for days! And she has given me my new favorite addition to my word-hoard, Achates. Yes,  I am going to keep using word-hoard. Word-hoard, word-hoard, word-hoard, word-hoard. Did I ever tell you that the NUMBER ONE reason I got spanked as a child was for not knowing when to let something go/being obnoxious?

"Mom, can we go to Dairy Queen tonight?"

"Shhhh."

"But mom, can we go to Dairy Queen tonight?"

"Meghaun, I said shhhh."

"MAWM, I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF WE ARE GOING TO DAIRY QUEEN!!"

"MEGHAUN! BE QUIET! WE WILL TALK ABOUT IT LATER AND WE WILL NOT GO IF YOU DO NOT STOP TALKING!"

"BUUUUUUUUTTTTTT MAAAAAWWWWWWWMMMM!"

*Let the arm grip of terror and trip back to bathroom for spanking commence*

So. New favorite word.  Achates. As in, "I probably drive her completely crazy, but JI is still my Achates."

Oh hey! I just remembered that this post was supposed to be about my day. And how I am feelin' a little frenetic....or was it grammar?
